Pastor’s Thoughts – 04-21-2024

George Whitefield, a Puritan evangelist who open air preached to thousands in the mid 1700’s across the colonies of America, loved and repeated the phrase from Hebrews 10:37, “Yet in a little while He who is coming will come.” Why was this verse so important to Whitefield?  The verse before it (Heb. 10:36) states, “For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.” The Christian life is a life of testing and faith. Pastor’s Thoughts – 04-28-24

When I was a child I had an uncle whom I respected because he had been in World War II. He was of strong opinion, stern, and set in his own ways. He would first go into a room and look through piles of diagrams, and then go here and there reading meters and making adjustments. The complex facilities handled massive volumes of electricity that provided beneficial results to all […]

Pastor’s Thoughts – 05/12/24

The role of a biblical wife and mother has been greatly threatened and damaged over the past 75 years and especially over the last 20 years. The pressure, propaganda, and humanistic philosophies under the guise of improvements and freedoms for women, has denied, confused, and in many cases destroyed the biblically defined role for women. Keep in mind that God designed the government, the church, and the home to curb the effects of the fallen world, and to serve as a means of bringing people to know the God who rules over all. But because of the departure from God […]
