I have thought many times how thankful we should be that we don’t know our immediate future. God has so designed things that we have no assurance of tomorrow in our life now, but we have a built-in sense of hope and expectation that tomorrow will be better than today. What is reality? 1 Corinthians 2:1-2 are among my favorite convicting verses. It reads: “And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.” Why do I consider this so special? This was Paul’s inner attitude to what was most important to him. A few times a week I briefly look at the news. Just a quick glance at it is troubling from the standpoint of righteousness and truth.
